Random ramblings

• My children have been on spring break this week. It's been a really relaxed, lazy time and I have loved it. I'm actually sad to see it come to an end and am already dreading school starting back next week.
• Audrey has her first sleep over tonight and I'm nervous as can be. She's been dying to spend the night with one of her friends and got an invitation to a sleep over a week ago so she's insanely excited. Yes, I'll probably cry when I drop her off tonight. I'm such a sap.
• I finally bit the bullet and joined twitter. I'm probably one of the last five people in America to open an account. What can I say I'm slow to change. I'm slowly, but surely trying to figure it out. If any of you want me to follow you on there just leave a link in the comment section and I will. 
• I'm kind of, sort of wanting to do something new in my kitchen. It's really small so there's not a ton of change I can make beyond paint and accessories. If any of you are good at decorating (especially small spaces) I will gladly welcome any and all input. Or if you have some website/blog recommendations for me please let me know. 
• I have a sort of big birthday coming up next month and I'm really, really starting to freak out about it.  

Some observations

• I just realized this morning that my husband will be home Wednesday,Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. This is the guy that usually only gets one day off work a week. I hope our marriage can handle it.
• Christmas is 32 days away which means that my baby's birthday is 30 days away. I am really starting to freak out over this. I want her to stay four at least another ten or twenty years. Thirty would be good too.
• Duke won last night. If you live within five miles of me you probably know this already from listening to me yell at the television. I'm glad my neighbors like me.
• I saw Harry Potter this weekend. Good movie, but I think I was expecting a little more from it. Still can't wait until July to see the conclusion.
• I just finished reading the first short story in Stephen King's book Full Dark, No Stars. I don't know why I read Stephen King books because they depress me to no end. 
•  I need to do something with my hair in a bad way. It has gotten way too long and the color looks like crap. Suggestions? 
•  This is so wrong. 

• I am kind of cautiously optimistic today. For the past two weeks I have been having horrible neck and shoulder pain along with some pretty bad headaches. I'm thinking maybe a pinched nerve? Yesterday and today I've been feeling much better so I'm crossing my fingers that whatever it is has worked itself out.
• Did I mention that it's basketball season?

 

This and that

I hope everyone has been having a fantastic week. Mine started off horribly, but I think it's finally trying to redeem itself.

• Sophie and I have been walking everyday since Sunday. I used to have the neighborhood mapped out and would walk 3.3 miles a day and try to beat a certain time to get finished, but this time I'm not looking at the clock or measuring distance at all. We've been taking different routes everyday to keep things somewhat interesting. Hopefully we'll get some cool weather soon so I won't feel like a puddle of sweat when I'm done. Oh, and I have not weighed myself either. I kinda, sorta know what I weigh but I don't want to get too focused on weighing myself all the time. I think that once the clothes feel loose then I'll weigh.
• Today is my older brothers birthday. I'm a crap sister because I still haven't picked up anything for him yet. He's 41 and single. I'm thinking a girlfriend.
•  We've been dealing with horrible nightmares this week. No, not the kids. Mine. I know it's because I went to funeral services earlier this week, but I had no idea it would affect me so much. 
• I've been a little stressed lately. My husband has had to work extra days to fill in for people at work so I've been doing the single mom thing for about three weeks now. Yesterday he finally had a day off work and it was so nice. I made him mop the kitchen floor. 
• Apparently when I'm stressed I like to shop. I checked my emails this  morning and had a ton of shipping notifications. Currently I'm waiting on eleven packages to arrive. The sad thing? I had four arrive yesterday.
