Today is my birthday and even though I tell everyone in my family not to make an issue of it they still feel obligated to do something. My mom bakes me a cake every year, but this year my birthday happened to fall during the time she and my dad went on their much deserved cruise. Kylie did not want me to do without a cake so she baked me one herself. Yes, it is crooked, but I almost cried when I saw how much work she put into it. She made it yesterday since she had school today and she knew her dad would be home to help her with it. Oh, and even better? She had to make it in the toaster oven because apparently my *@$#! oven is about to kick the bucket. Luckily she decided to forgo the candles.
A day in the life of a stay at home mom to three awesome and exhausting girls.

My birthday surprise
Friday Husband told me that I needed to find something to do on Sunday because Kylie was plotting planning to do something with him and I could not be around. So yesterday Sophie, Audrey and I went to do a little shopping. To say it was a bust is putting it lightly. It was over 95 degrees outside and no matter how cold the a/c setting was it didn't seem to ever cool down until it was time to actually get out of the car. Then of course I had to deal with my two youngest children acting like crack monkeys. Normally they are a dream to take shopping (really, they are), but for whatever reason yesterday they were acting totally nuts. And of course I couldn't find anything at any of the stores I went too. Needless to say I was feeling a bit grouchy by the time I arrived home. Kylie met me at the door and told me that she had a big surprise for me and then proceeded to drag me into the kitchen.
